This challenging and rewarding adventure down Pakia Mountain and into the upper Pakia Valley, culminating at the Mae Taeng River, is reserved for only the strongest and most fit. It's an opportunity to test your skills and endurance as we embark on a daring exploration of Thailand's back country.

Our journey begins with an exhilarating 4-wheel drive tour up a 5700-foot mountain, situated across from the renowned Doi Chiang Dao, the last tooth of the Himalayas. From there, we make our descent straight down into the upper Mae Taeng Valley, traversing a scarcely used, fast dirt road with steep downhill sections and breathtaking views.

Once we reach the valley, we embark on single-track trails that wind up and down over numerous small hills, weaving through farm land and hill tribe villages. Eventually, we encounter another dirt road, which we navigate up over two medium-sized mountains before embarking on a winding downhill run where we can put our downhill mountain biking skills to the test.

As we make our way through rice fields and hill tribe villages, we soak in the natural beauty and cultural experiences that make this adventure so unique. However, it's important to note that this is a very physically demanding day, and beginners should refrain from joining. Participants should be in excellent physical condition and possess ample biking experience. The rewards are well worth the effort, but be prepared to make significant physical sacrifices along the way.
