Join us on an exhilarating mountain bike adventure starting with a thrilling 4-wheel drive up a 5800 foot mountain, located opposite the famous Doi Chiang Dao, also known as "The last tooth of the Himalayas." During Trip 5, we will reach the summit of Doi Pakia and take in breathtaking views of the mountain range and Chiang Dao valley. Our descent will be on mountain bikes, as we navigate along the ridge and enjoy stunning vistas of Chiang Dao to the north and the Mae Taeng Valley to the south.

As we ride past hill tribe villages and through pine forests, we will relish in the refreshing cool air at this higher altitude. The gradual descent along the top will eventually turn into a steep drop towards the Mae Taman Valley. We will take an almost unused forest road that passes hill tribe plantations and brings us to the foot of the valley. Then, we will continue on a small paved road through an astonishingly beautiful valley landscape. As we approach a river, we may be greeted by friendly elephants waiting to be fed. A delicious lunch will be waiting for us at a local eatery.

For more experienced riders seeking an extra challenge, Trip 5a offers a diversion from the regular route. We will embark on a remote single track that winds through thick jungle on the south face of the valley before following the water down into the farm land of the valley. This will truly be an unforgettable mountain bike adventure!
