- Afternoon: Orchard Road or Jewel Changi. If you love shopping, hit the malls of Orchard Road. Alternatively, head to Changi Airport early to see Jewel. Even if you aren’t flying out yet, the HSBC Rain Vortex (the world’s tallest indoor waterfall) is a must-see.
- Evening: Rooftop Views. End your trip with a drink at a rooftop bar like Level33 or CÉ LA VI for a final look at the glittering skyline.
Singapore Travel Essentials
Weather Prep: It’s hot and humid year-round, with sudden tropical rain. Carry a small umbrella and always have a light sweater for the very cold air-conditioning in malls and trains.
Public Transport: The MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) is world-class. You don’t need a special card; just tap your contactless credit card or mobile wallet (Apple/Google Pay) at the gatelines.
Hawker Centres: This is where the real soul of Singaporean food lives. Look for stalls with long queues—it’s the ultimate sign of quality. Don’t forget to try Hainanese Chicken Rice and Laksa.
The “Chope” Culture: If you see a packet of tissues on a table at a food centre, it means the seat is reserved. Don’t sit there!
